One lyric I wrote a late evening

by Kajsa Josephine

A very late evening this week I wrote this lyric-draft. Usually inspiration comes from unthinkable hours of the day. If all of a sudden I feel for it there are those times at 1AM where I have to write.

This lyric is very much inspired by July 22nd 2011.  A date that will always have an importance in Norway.  I’m not in any way affiliated with the tragic events and it’s hard to really understand it fully.

Therefore I wrote this to let thoughts out. Of course I’d love to have music accompanied but I’m still a novice in creating melodies.  Well, someday I might enjoy the lyrics with a melody.

Bodies

Here we are barely grasping
The unthinkable and surreal
Nothing will be feeling the same
No day will bear itself alike

What’s happened pounds
Works itself through
Can’t set a specific date

Bodies, warm bodies
Shifting towards cold
Lifeless and sad
Seems like such a
Dream

Running around to find
Cover, shelter and safety
Red floats in and around
Is this a bad and cruel joke?

What’s happened pounds
Works itself through
Can’t set a specific date

Bodies, warm bodies
Shifting towards cold
Lifeless and sad
Seems like such a dream

What’s happened pounds
Works itself through
Can’t set a specific date

Bodies, warm bodies
Shifting towards cold
Lifeless and sad
Seems like such a dream
A dream

Rest in peace
